Qualitative guidance only — actual results depend on your printer, profile and part geometry. Carbon/glass-fiber and high-temp grades require a hardened, wear-resistant nozzle; high-performance polymers (PEEK, ULTEM/PEI, PEKK, PPSU) require a high-temp printer.

Frequently asked questions
Which 3DXTech material fits my part?
For prototypes and general-purpose parts, start with a Standard grade — PLA, PETG, ABS or ASA. For functional parts that see heat, wear, impact or chemicals, step up to an Engineering grade like Nylon, polycarbonate or TPU. When you need stiffness and dimensional stability, choose a CarbonX (carbon-fiber) or FibreX (glass-fiber) composite. For extreme heat, chemical resistance or aerospace requirements, move to a High-Performance grade — PEEK, ULTEM/PEI, PEKK or PPSU. Not sure? Send us the part and we will recommend the material and print a free sample.
Do I need a high-temp printer for PEEK or ULTEM/PEI?
Yes. PEEK, ULTEM/PEI (9085 and 1010), PEKK and PPSU are high-performance polymers that require a printer built for very high nozzle and chamber temperatures, plus a hardened nozzle. They are not intended for standard desktop machines. If you are unsure whether your printer is capable, talk to us first — we can confirm compatibility or recommend an engineering grade that runs on your current hardware.
Are 3DXTech materials made in the USA?
Yes. 3DXTech manufactures its filament, pellets and composites in the USA — Grand Rapids, Michigan — and publishes technical data sheets (TDS) and safety data sheets (SDS) for its materials. Rev1 Technologies is an authorized 3DXTech reseller shipping genuine 3DXTech product with US-based support from Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Are these open, standard spools?
Yes. 3DXTech filament is supplied on standard open spools and runs on any open-material 3D printer suited to the material — you are not locked to one machine or ecosystem. Composite and high-temp grades require a hardened, wear-resistant nozzle (and, for high-performance polymers, a high-temp printer); load the correct profile for the material you are printing.
Can I get a free sample print in 3DXTech material?
Yes. Send us your part or file and we will print a free sample so you can judge the finish, color and material yourself before committing. One sample per qualified business in standard materials; high-performance polymers and larger or production-quantity jobs are quoted case-by-case.
What is the Triton line — is it Stratasys-compatible?
The TRITON3D line is engineered as a drop-in material for Stratasys Fortus and F-series machines, so you can run genuine engineering and high-performance grades — including Nylon 12+CF, ABS+CF, ASA, FR-PC-ABS, ESD-PEI 1010 and PC breakaway support — on your existing Stratasys platform. Ask us about compatibility with your specific machine.
Do you carry 3DXTech pellets for extrusion?
Yes. We stock bulk pellet feedstock — ThermaX PEI 9085 and 1010 (ULTEM) and 3DXMAX ASA — for pellet-extrusion and large-format additive systems. Contact us for bulk pricing and lead times on pellet quantities.
