3DXTech 3DXSTAT — ESD-Safe & EMI-Shielding Filament
3DXSTAT is 3DXTech’s static-control line — carbon-nanotube (MWCNT) compounds that give consistent, controlled surface resistance for ESD-safe and EMI-shielding parts. The range spans static-dissipative ESD grades in PLA, PETG, ABS, PC and PEI/ULTEM 1010, flexible ESD-TPU, and EMI-shielding PETG and ABS — so you can match the electrostatic or EMI requirement to the right base polymer and temperature. All 1.75 mm, made in the USA. This page compares the grades so you can pick the right resistance range for your application.

Choosing a 3DXTech 3dxstat esd machine
The decisions that actually matter for this class of machine — size them to your parts, not to a spec sheet.
ESD vs EMI
ESD-safe (static-dissipative) grades sit around 10⁶–10⁹ Ω to safely bleed off static charge; conductive/EMI grades sit lower (10²–10³ Ω) and add electromagnetic shielding. Pick ESD for handling static-sensitive electronics, EMI when you also need to block interference.
Match the base polymer
Choose the base for the environment: ESD-PLA/PETG for easy static-safe prototyping and trays, ESD-ABS/PC for durable production tooling, ESD-PEI 1010 for high-temp chemical-resistant electronics tooling, and ESD-Flex/TPU for static-safe gaskets, grips and fixtures.
Controlled resistance
Because 3DXSTAT uses multi-wall carbon nanotubes rather than carbon black, surface resistance is tighter and more repeatable part-to-part — important when a spec requires a specific resistance window.
Hardware
The CNT and the higher-temp bases are abrasive and hot — a hardened nozzle is required, and the PC and PEI grades need a high-temp printer with a heated chamber. We confirm compatibility before you buy.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between ESD-safe and EMI-shielding?
ESD-safe (static-dissipative) grades sit around 10⁶–10⁹ Ω and safely bleed off static charge to protect static-sensitive electronics. EMI-shielding grades are more conductive (around 10²–10³ Ω) and block electromagnetic interference. Choose ESD for handling electronics and EMI when you need shielding too — tell us your spec and we’ll match it.
Which 3DXSTAT ESD grade should I choose?
Match the base polymer: ESD-PLA/PETG for easy static-safe prototyping and trays, ESD-ABS/PC for durable production tooling, ESD-PEI 1010 for high-temp chemical-resistant electronics tooling, and ESD-Flex/TPU for flexible static-safe gaskets and grips.
How consistent is the surface resistance?
3DXSTAT uses multi-wall carbon nanotubes rather than carbon black, which gives a tighter, more repeatable surface-resistance window part-to-part — important when a spec requires a specific resistance range.
Do I need special hardware?
Yes — the carbon-nanotube compounds are abrasive, so a hardened/wear-resistant nozzle is required. The ESD-PC and ESD-PEI grades also need a high-temp printer with a heated chamber. We confirm your printer before you buy.
Are these made in the US and in stock?
Yes — 3DXTech 3DXSTAT ESD and EMI filaments are made in the USA (Grand Rapids, Michigan) and ship from US stock. Rev1 is an authorized 3DXTech reseller with US-based support. Call (248) 707-2950.
