PEKK Filament
A high-performance sibling of PEEK. PEKK is a PAEK-family polymer with extreme heat and chemical resistance, high strength, and inherent flame retardancy — with slower, more controllable crystallization that can make it more forgiving to print than PEEK for aerospace and defense parts.

What is PEKK filament?
PEKK (Polyetherketoneketone) is a member of the high-performance PAEK (polyaryletherketone) family, the same family as PEEK. It offers very high heat resistance, excellent chemical resistance, high strength, and inherent flame retardancy, and is used in aerospace, defense, and demanding industrial applications.
PEKK's distinguishing trait is its slower, more controllable crystallization versus PEEK, which can reduce warping and make thermal management during printing more forgiving. It still requires a high-temperature hotend, a heated chamber, and rigorous drying, and it's typically specified where its particular performance profile is required.
PEKK vs PEEK vs PEI — how to choose

PEKK vs PEEK is often an application-specific call — call (248) 707-2950 to match the grade to your spec.
Printing PEKK successfully
- High-temp printer required — high-temperature hotend, heated chamber, and high-temp bed.
- Dry rigorously — PAEK polymers must be very dry to print well.
- Manage crystallization — chamber temperature and annealing control final mechanical and thermal properties.
- Anneal per datasheet to develop full performance.
- Use grade-specific profiles — PEKK grades vary and are unforgiving.
