XGRIDS Lixel SLAM LiDAR 3D Scanners
XGRIDS Lixel scanners are handheld SLAM LiDAR systems — you walk through a space and the scanner builds a colored 3D point cloud in real time, fusing LiDAR, panoramic vision and an IMU with a Multi-SLAM AI engine. The line runs from the $4,999 PortalCam for 3D Gaussian Splatting, through the LixelKity K1 and K2 handhelds, to the colorized L2 Pro and the true-color, RTK-equipped L3 flagship. Every Lixel scanner exports photoreal 3D Gaussian Splats via Lixel CyberColor and processes in LixelStudio. This page compares the range.

Choosing a XGRIDS lixel slam scanners machine
The decisions that actually matter for this class of machine — size them to your parts, not to a spec sheet.
Range & channels
Entry handhelds (K1, K2) reach 40–100 m; the L2 Pro and L3 scale to 120 m (and the L2 Pro to 300 m in 32-channel mode) with higher 320k–640k pts/s scan rates for larger sites.
Accuracy
The K1 holds ~1.2 cm relative / 3 cm absolute; the L2 Pro <1 cm relative within 100 m; the L3 reaches 5 mm relative (post-processed) with 2 cm absolute RMSE and RTK — pick the tighter models for survey-grade deliverables.
Color & 3D Gaussian Splats
All capture color; the L2 Pro and L3 deliver real-time true-color point clouds. Every scanner feeds Lixel CyberColor to produce photoreal 3D Gaussian Splats for Unity, Unreal, web and Revit BIM.
Entry 3DGS vs pro survey
The $4,999 PortalCam is the affordable way into 3D Gaussian Splatting capture; the L2 Pro and L3 are the professional survey-grade mapping scanners with RTK and the longest range.

Frequently asked questions
Which Lixel SLAM scanner should I choose?
For the affordable entry into 3D Gaussian Splatting, the $4,999 PortalCam; for entry SLAM LiDAR mapping, the LixelKity K1; for handheld mapping to 100 m, the K2; for real-time colorized pro mapping, the L2 Pro; and for true-color, RTK survey-grade work, the L3 flagship. Tell us your site size and accuracy target and we will match one.
What is SLAM scanning?
SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) lets you walk through a space while the scanner tracks its own position and builds a 3D point cloud in real time — no tripod setups or targets, so you capture a building or site in minutes.
What are 3D Gaussian Splats?
A photoreal way to render a captured space — every Lixel scan can be turned into a 3D Gaussian Splat in Lixel CyberColor and used in Unity, Unreal, on the web, or pushed to Revit BIM. It is what makes Lixel capture look real, not just a point cloud.
Do these come with software?
Yes — LixelStudio (point-cloud processing) is included with every Lixel scanner, and Lixel CyberColor adds the 3D Gaussian Splat workflow. We install, license and train on both. See our XGRIDS software page.
What support comes with a Lixel scanner from Rev1?
Rev1 is an authorized XGRIDS reseller in the USA — US-based application support, software setup and training, demos, sample scans and financing. Call (248) 707-2950 or request a quote.
