Before you start scanning with your EinScan SE/SP for the first time, you'll need to complete the activation and calibration process. Calibration ensures the scanner performs accurately, especially after changing environments or lighting conditions—so it's a good habit to recalibrate whenever you move your setup.
The calibration process includes three steps, followed by a white balance adjustment. Let’s walk through them:
Calibration Steps
Step 1:
Place the calibration board on the stand, with the three large black dots facing downward, just like in the image shown in the software. Once it's in place, click “Capture.”
Step 2:
Now, rotate the calibration board so the three large dots face to the right. Adjust the position so the end of the dotted section aligns with the edge of the turntable.
Step 3:
Repeat what you did in Step 2, but this time rotate the board so the three large dots are facing upward and positioned to the left.
White Balance Adjustment
After calibrating, you’ll need to set the white balance. To do this, flip the calibration board to the white side and click “Capture” again.
A success message will appear once this step is completed properly.
You’re All Set!
