Why AESUBdots B&W 6mm
For Structured Light
High-contrast black-and-white pattern with strong adhesive bond — ideal for structured-light scanners like Shining3D, Artec, EinScan, and GOM systems. The adhesive holds firm through repeated scans without lifting or shifting.
A single roll covers a large industrial part or several smaller scans. The continuous coiled format lets you peel one dot at a time by hand, or load the entire roll into the AESUBdots Applicator Gun for rapid deployment across hundreds of dots in minutes.
Permanent adhesive holds the dots in place through repeated scans, part movement, and rotation — without lifting, drifting, or losing position between captures. Use the Easy Remove variant if you need to lift them after the scan; use Permanent when the dots stay.
Production-Grade
Structured-Light Reference Dots

Each roll holds 3,000 high-contrast dots ready to peel and place. The permanent adhesive holds dots in place through scans, part movement, and rotation without drift. For high-volume production scanning, pair with the AESUBdots Applicator Gun to deploy hundreds of dots per minute on flat or gently curved surfaces.

Frequently Asked —
AESUBdots Black & White 6mm
What scanners do AESUBdots B&W 6mm work with?
Designed for structured-light scanners — Shining3D, EinScan, Artec, GOM, and most other structured-light projector-based scanning systems. The strong B&W contrast pattern is what the structured-light algorithm reads. For laser scanners, the AESUBdots Retro variants are the better choice.
Permanent vs Easy Remove — which should I order?
Permanent adhesive holds dots in place through scans, part movement, and rotation without drift — use this when the dots stay on the part after the scan or when adhesion needs to survive a workflow. Easy Remove (also same diameter, separate SKU) peels off cleanly post-scan without residue — use this when you need to remove every dot after the scan.
How fast can I apply 3,000 dots?
By hand: realistically 5–10 minutes per 100 dots once you have a rhythm. With the AESUBdots Applicator Gun: load the roll, click-click-click — hundreds of dots per minute on a flat or gently curved surface. For large industrial parts (yacht hulls, car bodies, machine frames), the gun is the only practical method.
Can I use these with AESUB scanning sprays?
Yes — all AESUBdots variants are compatible with every vanishing AESUB spray (Blue, Violet, Orange, Transparent, Diamond). Apply the spray first to matte the surface, then place the dots on top. The adhesive holds through the matte coating.
What other diameters are available?
Black & White rolls come in 1.5 mm, 3 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, and 12 mm. 6 mm is the most-used size and the industry standard. Smaller sizes (1.5–5 mm) for tight detail, larger sizes (8–12 mm) for very large parts. Same pricing tier across diameters.
Volume pricing for production scanning?
Standard tier: $85.90 / roll (1+), $75.90 / roll (5+), $65.90 / roll (10+). For high-volume production scanning operations, contact Rev1 at (248) 707-2950 or (248) 707-2950 for custom pricing on cases of 50 or 100 rolls.
