TMC5160 Stepper Driver for D600 Pro2, D1000, F430 and PEEK-300 3D Printers

The CreatBot TMC5160 drive is an OEM stepper motor driver module named for the TMC5160 driver chip. Like any stepper driver, it takes step and direction commands from the printer's main control board and supplies the current that turns a motor, on a motion axis or an extruder. CreatBot offers it in two versions, V1 and V2, and each version is listed for a different set of printers. Picking the right version is the main thing to get right when you order. Signs a TMC5160 driver may need replacing
Layer shifts or missed steps on one axis with belts, pulleys and lead screws in good order.
A motor that hums, stutters or will not turn, while the other axes work.
Under-extrusion when the driver runs an extruder and the filament path is clear.
The fault follows the driver when it is swapped with a known good one.
Choose your version
| Version | Part number | Fits |
|---|---|---|
| V1 | 115017 | D600 Pro2, D1000, F430 |
| V2 | 115018 | D600 Pro2 HS, D1000 HS, F430, PEEK-300 |
Compatible CreatBot 3D printers
Fit differs by version: V1 is listed for the D600 Pro2, D1000 and F430, while V2 is listed for the HS models, the F430 and the PEEK-300.
V1 or V2: how to choose

Start with your printer model. A D600 Pro2 HS, D1000 HS or PEEK-300 takes V2. A D600 Pro2 or D1000 without the HS designation takes V1. The F430 appears on both lists, so on an F430 match the version marked on the driver you are replacing, or send Rev1 a photo of the fitted module. Replace like with like: the printer's firmware is set up for the driver fitted in each position.
CreatBot also uses part number 115018 for other driver listings, including the extruder motor driver for its newer HS and Ultra printers. When you order V2, tell us your printer model so the right module ships.
Installation tips
Turn the printer off and unplug it before opening the electronics bay. Photograph the existing driver to record its orientation, since a reversed driver can be damaged on power-up. Seat the new module fully, reconnect the motor and test the axis before a full print.
