Building a hotend set
Most shops start with 0.4 mm as the everyday hotend. Add 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm for production runs and large parts, where wider lines cut print time and improve layer strength. 1.0 mm is for the biggest, fastest parts on the D1000 Pro HS and the Ultra machines. 0.3 mm covers small, detailed parts. Because each size is a complete hotend, switching is a matter of swapping the unit and selecting the matching slicer profile.
The Pro-HS hotend (parts 104020 to 104024) fits the same printers. Contact Rev1 if you are unsure which design your print head uses.
Installation tips
Let the hotend cool and power the printer down before removing it. Release the installed hotend, seat the replacement fully in the same orientation and reconnect it. Heat up, load filament and run the nozzle height or leveling routine so the new nozzle starts at the right height.

Which size do I need?
Start with 0.4 mm. Add 0.6 or 0.8 mm for speed, 1.0 mm for very large parts, and 0.3 mm for fine detail.
Will it fit the D600 Pro2 HS or D1000 HS?
No. Those printers use their own quick-remove hotends (104003 and 104006 for the D600 Pro2 HS, 104004 and 104007 for the D1000 HS).
