Signs your heating tube needs replacing
The hotend heats much more slowly than it used to, or never reaches its set temperature.
The printer reports a heating failure or thermal error during warm up or mid print.
Under extrusion or weak layer bonding that appears together with unstable hotend temperature.
Damaged, pinched or burnt wiring where the heating tube leads exit the heating block.
A failed thermistor, loose connector or wiring fault can cause similar symptoms. Rev1 support can help you narrow it down before you order.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printers
The earlier HS machines use a different heating tube. For the D600 Pro2 HS and D1000 HS, see parts 105001 and 105002. The D600 Pro2 and D1000 use parts 105010 and 105011.
Installation tips
Power the printer off, unplug it and let the hotend cool completely before you touch the heating block. Photograph the wiring and connector positions first, then loosen the retaining screw and slide the old heating tube out. Fit the new tube fully into the block, secure it, and route the leads the same way as the original so they cannot rub on moving parts. After installation, heat the hotend while watching the temperature reading, then run a short test print. If you are not comfortable working inside the print head, Rev1 service can do the replacement for you.
