Filament chamber heater for the CreatBot PEEK-300

The CreatBot PEEK-300 filament chamber heater (part 182014) is the OEM heater for the filament chamber on the CreatBot PEEK-300. It keeps the enclosed spool compartment warm so the filament stays dry while it feeds the printer. PEEK, PEI and many other high performance filaments absorb moisture from room air, and even a small amount of moisture causes bubbling, voids and weak layers in finished parts. On a printer used for demanding functional parts, keeping filament dry is part of getting the material properties you expect. Full specifications →

Signs the filament chamber heater needs replacing
The filament chamber stays cold or does not reach its set temperature.
The printer reports a filament chamber heating fault.
Filament that went in dry starts to pop, steam or leave rough, bubbled surfaces.
The heater leads or connector are damaged or discolored.
Moisture problems can also come from a spool that was damp before loading or a filament chamber door left open. Contact Rev1 support if you want help working out the cause.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
This part heats the filament chamber only. The PEEK-300 build chamber heater is part 182008. D Series printers use their own filament chamber heaters, such as the D600 Pro2 (182016) and D1000 (182018).
Getting the most from dry filament
The heater keeps filament dry once it is loaded. Start with dry spools, keep the filament chamber door closed during jobs, and store opened spools sealed with desiccant. A spool that has been left out should be dried properly before it goes into the printer.
Installation tips
Unload filament and remove the spools. Switch the printer off, unplug it and let the filament chamber cool. Photograph the heater wiring, fit the new heater in the same position and route the leads clear of the spool and filament path. Power up with the door closed and confirm the filament chamber warms and holds temperature before you reload.
