Signs the temperature sensor needs replacing
The touchscreen shows a temperature error or an impossible reading.
The displayed temperature jumps around or drops out while the printer is heating.
Heating stops or behaves erratically even though the heater itself tests good.
Visible damage to the sensor, its leads or its connector.
A loose connector or damaged cable can cause the same symptoms. Check the wiring first, and contact Rev1 support if you want help confirming the sensor is the cause.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The PEEK-300 is also listed with other CreatBot temperature sensors: the PEEK300 temperature sensor (part 106009) and the F430 temperature sensor (part 106007). Make sure you order the sensor that matches the one installed in your printer. The PEEK-250 uses different sensors, part 106005 or 106006 (V2).
Choosing the right PEEK-300 sensor
Because more than one sensor is listed for the PEEK-300, compare the name and labeling of your existing sensor with the part names above before ordering. If you cannot tell which one you have, send Rev1 a photo of the old sensor and your printer's serial number and we will confirm the correct part.
Installation tips
Power the printer off, unplug it and let all heated parts cool completely before you begin. Photograph the sensor's connection and cable routing before removing the old part. Route the new leads the same way, clear of moving parts and hot surfaces, and secure them so they cannot rub or pull. After installation, power up, watch the temperature reading as the printer heats, and run a short test print to confirm stable control.
