The CreatBot PEEK-250 top chamber cooling fan (part 150011) is the OEM fan fitted at the top of the chamber on the CreatBot PEEK-250. The PEEK-250 is built to print high performance polymers such as PEEK inside a heated enclosure, and that heat has to be managed. Signs the top chamber cooling fan needs replacing
The fan does not spin while the printer is running, or it starts and stops.
Grinding, rattling or a rising whine that points to worn bearings.
The printer reports a fan or overheating fault, or the top of the machine runs warmer than it used to.
Visible damage to the blades, frame or cable.
A fan that will not run can also be caused by a loose connector or a damaged cable. Check the connection first, and contact Rev1 support if you want help confirming the fault.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The PEEK-250 uses several different fans, and they are not interchangeable. The other PEEK-250 fans are the cooling fan (150009), the water cooling system fan (150010) and the air filter fan (150043). The PEEK-300 uses its own fans, such as the PEEK-300 cooling fan (150037).
Installation tips
Power the printer off, unplug it and let the chamber cool completely before you open anything. Photograph the fan's position, airflow direction and cable routing before removal, then fit the new fan the same way round. Airflow direction matters: a fan mounted backwards pushes air the wrong way. After installation, power up and confirm the fan spins before you start a print.
