Signs the sheet needs replacing
First layers stick everywhere except a worn patch, often where you print most often.
Deep scratches, gouges from scrapers or pits left by parts that fused to the surface.
A kink or bend from over-flexing lifts part of the sheet off the magnetic base and spoils the first layer.

Getting the most from your sheet
Let the bed cool before you lift the sheet, then flex it gently to release the part. Bend it only as far as needed: a sharp fold can leave a permanent kink. Keep the surface free of fingerprints and old residue, and clean it with isopropyl alcohol between prints. Avoid metal scrapers on the sheet itself.
Installation tips
With the printer idle and the bed cool, remove the old sheet and wipe the magnetic base so no debris sits under the new one. Line the sheet up with the bed edges and lay it down flat, starting from one side. Then check the bed level and run a short first layer test before a long print.
