The CreatBot extruder motor driver (part 115018) is the OEM stepper driver that runs the extruder motor on CreatBot's current HS and Ultra printers. The extruder motor pushes filament into the hotend, and the driver is what powers it: it takes step commands from the main control board and delivers the current that turns the motor by exactly the right amount. About part number 115018
CreatBot uses 115018 for more than one driver listing, including the Z motor driver for the D400 HS, D600 Pro3 HS and D1000 Pro HS, and the TMC5160 drive (V2). Tell Rev1 your printer model and that you need the extruder driver when you order. Earlier HS printers use their own E drives: the D600 Pro2 HS uses part 115002 and the D1000 HS uses part 115006.
Installation tips
Turn the printer off and unplug it. Photograph the existing driver to record its orientation and cable positions, fit the new module the same way round, and reconnect the extruder motor. Heat the hotend and test extrusion manually before you resume printing.
