Signs the Y-axis belt needs replacing
Layers shift front to back partway through a print.
Round holes print oval, or square parts measure differently in X and Y.
Cracks across the back of the belt, frayed edges or worn teeth.
A clicking or skipping sound when the Y axis changes direction quickly.
A loose pulley set screw can cause the same symptoms, so check the pulley before you replace the belt.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The F430 NX also uses an X axis belt (141003) and a Z axis belt (141010). The original F430 uses a different Y axis belt, part 141001, plus a Y-axis reduction belt, part 141005.
Getting the most from a new belt
Belts wear fastest when they run too tight, too loose or out of line with the pulley. After installation, watch the belt run through a few moves: it should track in the center of the pulley without rubbing a flange. Recheck tension after the first several prints, and replace X and Y belts as a pair if they are the same age.
Installation tips
Switch the printer off and unplug it. Take a photo of the belt path and the clamp or tensioner at each end before removal. Route the new belt the same way, seat the teeth fully in the pulley, set the tension, then home the printer and run a calibration square or cube to confirm the Y dimension.

Is this the same belt as the F430 Y axis belt?
No. The F430 uses part 141001. Part 141004 is made for the F430 NX.
My parts are not square. Is it the belt?
It can be. Uneven X and Y belt tension, a worn belt or a slipping pulley all produce out-of-square parts. Contact Rev1 support and we will help you narrow it down.
