The X motors drive motion along the X axis, so they decide how accurately each line is placed. Signs the X motor needs replacing
Layers shift sideways along the X axis partway through a print.
The X axis will not home, or stops and stalls during travel.
Grinding, clicking or loud whining from the left X motor.
Holes and outer walls come out the wrong size or shape along X.
A loose belt, a slipping pulley, a damaged cable or a driver fault can cause similar shifts. Check belt tension and pulley set screws first, or ask Rev1 support to help you diagnose the axis.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The right X motor for the F430 NX is part 131008. The other F430 NX motors are the Y motor 131009, the Z motor 131010 and the extruder motors 131011 (left) and 131012 (right). The original F430 uses a different X motor, part 131018.
Installation tips
Power the printer off and unplug it. Photograph the cable route and connector, and mark the pulley position on the old shaft before you remove it. Release belt tension, swap the motor, and refit the pulley in the same position so the belt runs straight. Re-tension the belt, move the axis by hand to check for smooth travel, then home the printer and print a small calibration part to confirm X dimensions.
