PTC chamber heater for the CreatBot F430

The CreatBot F430 heating PTC is the heater that warms the enclosed build chamber of the CreatBot F430. The F430 is built for engineering materials, and most of them need a warm chamber to print well. Heat in the chamber slows the cooling of each layer so the part shrinks evenly, which prevents corner lift, layer cracking and parts that peel off the bed. The heater runs from mains power, so CreatBot supplies it in two versions: 110V and 220V. Full specifications →

Signs the heater needs replacing
The F430 chamber no longer warms, or warms far more slowly than it used to.
The printer shows a heater error during warm-up.
ABS, PC, nylon and similar materials start warping on profiles that worked before.
Scorch marks, damaged leads or a burnt smell at the heater.
Fans, relays and wiring can cause similar symptoms. Rev1 support can help you confirm the fault before you order.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printers
Both versions fit the F430 and differ only in voltage. The F430 NX uses its own heaters, parts 173001 (110V) and 173002 (220V).
Choose your voltage
| Voltage | Part number | Fits |
|---|---|---|
| 110V | 173003 | F430 |
| 220V | 173004 | F430 |
Installation tips
Unplug the F430 and let the chamber cool. Photograph the heater connections, fit the new heater in the same orientation, and secure its leads away from moving parts. Run chamber heating once with the door closed to confirm it warms.
Which voltage is right for my F430?
Order the version that matches the voltage your F430 was built to run on. Printers supplied for the US and Canada are normally 110V, and printers for most of Europe and Asia are 220V. A heater on the wrong supply will either heat too weakly or run too hot, so do not guess: the rating label on the printer or on the heater you are removing gives the answer. Rev1 can also check it from your serial number.
How a PTC heater works
A PTC (positive temperature coefficient) element increases its resistance as it heats, so its output falls as it warms. That self-limiting behavior is why PTC heaters are used to warm enclosures.
