F430 FFC Cable (Flat Flexible Cable)
The CreatBot F430 FFC cable (part 160003) is the OEM flat flexible cable for the CreatBot F430. An FFC is a thin, flat ribbon with many parallel conductors. It is used where a cable has to carry several signals while flexing in a tight space, because it bends smoothly in one plane and takes up very little room. Signs the FFC cable needs replacing
Errors or lost signals that come and go as the print head moves.
A crease, tear or fold line across the ribbon.
Worn, scratched or discolored contacts at either end.
Faults that clear briefly after the cable is reseated, then return.
Flat cables fail at the same point again and again: where they bend the most. A permanent crease at that spot is a strong sign the conductors inside are cracking.

The F430 NX uses a different FFC cable, part 160004. Check your model before ordering, since the two printers look similar.
Handling an FFC cable
FFC cables are delicate until installed. Do not fold them sharply, crease them or bend them back on themselves. Hold the cable by its stiffened ends, keep the contacts clean and free of skin oil, and store a spare flat in its packaging.
Installation tips
Turn the printer off and unplug it. FFC connectors usually have a small locking latch: lift or slide it open before you pull the cable out, and never pull on a locked connector. Insert the new cable square and fully, with the contacts facing the same way as the old one, then close the latch. Follow the original bend path, then power up and test.
