The CreatBot DA relay 20A (part 175001) is a solid state relay used in CreatBot's current HS and Ultra printers. A DA type solid state relay takes a low voltage DC control signal from the printer's electronics and uses it to switch an AC load, typically a high power heating circuit. Because it has no moving contacts, a solid state relay switches silently and handles the frequent on and off cycling that temperature control demands. Signs the relay may need replacing
A heater the relay controls never turns on, even though the printer is calling for heat.
A heater stays on when it should switch off, and temperature overshoots.
The relay's indicator does not respond to the control signal, or the relay body shows heat damage or discoloration.
A relay stuck on is a safety concern. Turn the printer off and contact Rev1 support. Heater, sensor and wiring faults can look similar, and we can help you find the cause.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printers
The same printers also use a 40A DA relay, part 175002. Replace a relay with the same rating as the one you remove.
Installation
This is a mains voltage component. Turn the printer off and unplug it before opening the electrical compartment. Photograph the relay and every wire before you disconnect anything, and note which terminals carry the control signal and which carry the load. Fit the new relay in the same place with full contact to its mounting surface or heat sink, tighten the terminals firmly, and check the wiring before you restore power.
