Before you replace the screen
Power the printer off and back on, then check that the display cable is fully seated at both ends. Switch the printer off and unplug it. Use anti-static precautions, because the touchscreen is a sensitive electronic part. Photograph the connectors and note the orientation of every cable before removing the old screen. Handle flat ribbon cables gently and make sure each one is fully seated and latched.
