Signs your PEI film needs replacing
First layers no longer stick in areas where they used to, even after cleaning.
Visible scratches, gouges or worn patches, often where you print most often.
Tears, peeling edges or bubbles that leave the surface uneven.
Marks or pits left behind by parts that fused to the surface.
Before replacing, try cleaning the surface thoroughly. If adhesion is still poor in the same spots, the film is worn and should be changed.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printers
Related printers use different build surfaces. The D600 Pro uses PEI film part 107011, the D1000 HS and D1000 use PEI film part 107003, and the D600 Pro3 HS uses removable magnetic sheet part 107023. The removable magnetic sheet for the D600 Pro2 HS and D600 Pro2 is part 107002.
Installation tips
Power the printer off, unplug it and let the build platform cool completely before you remove the old surface. Clean the platform so no dust, adhesive residue or filament debris is left behind, then make sure the new film sits flat with no trapped particles or air. After installation, re-level the bed and check your Z offset, then run a test print to confirm first-layer adhesion. To extend the life of the film, let the bed cool before removing parts and avoid prying with sharp metal tools.
