Signs the drag chain cable needs replacing
A temperature reading that drops out or spikes while the printer is moving.
Heater or thermal runaway errors that do not repeat at the same point in a print.
A fan on the moving assembly that stutters or stops.
Worn, cracked or pinched insulation near the chain mounts.
A quick test: with the printer powered and idle, move the axis slowly by hand and watch the temperature display. A reading that flickers as the cable bends points to broken strands inside it.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The D600 Pro2 HS uses its own cable, part 160014, and the D600 Pro uses parts 160009 and 160010. The D1000 (160015), D1000 HS (160016) and F1000 (160012) each have their own drag chain cable.
Installation tips
Power off and unplug the printer. Photograph both ends of the cable and label each plug. Open the chain, lift out the old cable, and lay the new one in the same channel without twists or tight loops. Close the chain, reconnect, and run the axis through its full travel slowly before you start a print.
