Signs the X-axis belt needs replacing
The print shifts sideways in X partway through a job.
Walls show ripples or ghosting after corners.
Holes or bosses are out of size in X but correct in Y.
The belt is frayed, cracked, glazed or has missing teeth.
A loose pulley set screw or a stiff carriage can cause similar symptoms, so check those before you replace the belt.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
This belt is for the D600 Pro. The other D600 Pro belts are the Y-axis belt (143002) and the Y-axis closed loop belt (143003). Later models use their own parts: the D600 Pro2 X-axis belt is 143004 and the D600 Pro2 HS X-axis belt is 143007.
Routine belt checks
A quick monthly check catches most belt problems early. With the printer off, press the belt lightly at its midpoint: it should feel firm and spring back, not sag. Look along its length for cracks or fraying, and confirm it runs centered on the pulley. Recheck the tension of a new belt after its first few prints.
Installation tips
Power the printer off and unplug it. Photograph the belt route and the clamps at the carriage. Thread the new belt along the same path with the teeth seated in the pulley, tension it, and move the carriage by hand from end to end to check for binding. Home the printer and print a calibration part to confirm X accuracy.
