D600 Pro Silicone Heating Plate
The CreatBot D600 Pro silicone plate (part 172005) is the OEM silicone heater for the heated bed on the CreatBot D600 Pro. A silicone heater is a thin, flexible heating pad bonded to the underside of the build platform. It spreads heat across the plate so the whole print surface reaches temperature, which is what keeps large parts in materials such as ABS and nylon flat and stuck down through a long print. Signs the silicone heating plate needs replacing
The bed heats slowly or stops short of its set temperature.
Bed heating errors, or the bed does not warm at all.
Prints warp or lift in one area of the bed that used to print well.
The heater is bubbling, peeling away from the plate or shows burn marks.
A bed that will not heat can also have a faulty temperature sensor, relay, cable or connector. Check those, or ask Rev1 support to help you test the heater before ordering.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
Silicone plates are model specific. The D600 Pro2 uses part 172006 and the D600 Pro2 HS uses part 172007. The D1000 (172008) and D1000 HS (172009) use sets of four.
Getting an even bond
A silicone heater only works well when it is in full contact with the plate. Air pockets act as insulation and create hot spots in the heater and cool spots on the bed. Take time to clean off all old adhesive and press the new heater on evenly from the center out.
Installation tips
Unplug the printer and let the bed cool fully. Remove the bed assembly and photograph the heater wiring and the temperature sensor position. Peel off the old heater, clean the surface, fit the new heater flat, and reconnect it as before. Refit insulation and the sensor, then heat the bed and confirm it reaches temperature evenly. Work that involves mains wiring should be done by someone qualified, or by Rev1.
