The CreatBot D600 Pro heating PTC (part 173009) is the PTC heater that warms the enclosed build chamber of the CreatBot D600 Pro. The D600 Pro is a large format dual extrusion printer, and its enclosure only does its job when the air inside is warm. A heated chamber slows the cooling of each layer, so materials such as ABS, ASA and nylon shrink evenly instead of pulling against the layers below. Signs the chamber heater needs replacing
Chamber heating is enabled but the chamber stays near room temperature.
The chamber now takes much longer to warm up than it did when the printer was new.
A heater error on the display, a burnt smell or visible damage to the heater or its leads.

Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The D600 Pro2 uses its own heating PTC, part 173010. The D600 Pro filament heating PTC, part 173015, is a separate heater for the filament compartment.
Why PTC
A positive temperature coefficient (PTC) element raises its own resistance as it warms, so its output falls as it gets hot. That built-in limiting is why PTC heaters are widely used for warming enclosures.
Installation tips
Turn the printer off, unplug it and allow the chamber to cool. Take a photo of the heater connections and wire routing, then remove the old heater and fit the new one in the same orientation. Keep the leads away from the moving gantry and hot surfaces. Close the doors, enable chamber heating and confirm the chamber warms before a long print.
