The CreatBot D600 Pro filament heating PTC (part 173015) is the heater for the filament compartment of the CreatBot D600 Pro. Its job is to keep loaded spools warm while the printer works. Signs the filament heater needs replacing
The filament compartment stays cold when filament heating is turned on.

Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
Later models use their own filament heaters: the D600 Pro2 uses part 173016 and the D600 Pro2 HS uses 173017. The D600 Pro heating PTC, part 173009, is a different heater.
How a PTC heater works
PTC means positive temperature coefficient. As the ceramic element heats, its electrical resistance climbs, so it naturally throttles back its own output. That makes PTC heaters well suited to warming a small enclosed space such as a filament compartment.
Installation tips
Turn the D600 Pro off and unplug it. Remove the spools, open the filament compartment and let the old heater cool. Photograph the connector and wire path, fit the new heater in the same place, and secure the leads so they cannot touch the spool or the filament as it feeds. Close up and run filament heating once to check it warms.
