Each D600 model has its own filament chamber heater: D600 Pro2 (182016) and D600 Pro2 HS (182017). The D600 Pro build chamber heater is a different part, 182009.
What happens when filament gets wet
Popping, crackling or visible steam at the nozzle.
Stringing, oozing and fine hairs between features.
Rough, bubbled or cloudy surfaces.
Weaker parts, because steam bubbles leave voids between layers.
If these symptoms appear on filament that should be dry, and the filament chamber is no longer warming up, the heater is a likely cause. A damaged connector or wiring fault can look the same, so contact Rev1 support if you want help confirming it.
Installation tips
Take the spools out, then power off and unplug the printer. Let the filament chamber cool and photograph the heater wiring before disconnecting it. Fit the new heater in the same position and route the leads clear of the spools and filament path. Power up and confirm the filament chamber warms and holds temperature before you reload.
Tips for dry filament
The heater keeps dry filament dry. It works best when spools go in dry and the filament chamber door stays shut. Store open spools sealed with desiccant between jobs, and dry a badly soaked spool properly before loading it.
