Signs the extruder unit needs replacing
A clicking or knocking sound as the extruder slips on the filament.
Under extrusion that remains after you have cleaned or replaced the nozzle.
Filament with deep bite marks, or filament ground away where the gear grips it.
Physical damage to the unit, such as a cracked housing or bent bracket.
Before you replace it, rule out a partial clog, a print temperature that is too low and damp filament. Rev1 support can help you work through it.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
Each D600 version uses its own extruder unit. The D600 Pro2 uses part 183006 and the D600 Pro2 HS uses part 183007. Units for other models include the D1000 (183008) and F430 (183002).
Installation tips
With the hotend at printing temperature, unload the filament. Switch the printer off, unplug it and let the head cool before touching any wiring. Photograph the connectors and cable routing, swap the unit using the original hardware, and reconnect each cable exactly as it was. Load filament and run a manual extrusion to confirm smooth, steady feeding, then re-check the nozzle height and print a calibration part.
