The CreatBot D1000 Z-axis motor belt (part 143018) is the OEM belt that takes drive from the Z motor on the CreatBot D1000. The D1000 lists two Z belts: this motor belt and a separate Z-axis timing belt. Signs the Z-axis motor belt needs replacing
Layers are compressed or stretched, or part heights are wrong.
The Z motor turns but the bed or gantry does not move, or moves unevenly.
A slipping or clicking sound at the Z motor during layer changes or homing.
The belt is cracked, glazed, missing teeth or will not hold tension.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The D1000 Z-axis timing belt is a different part, 143019. The D1000 HS uses its own Z-axis motor belt, part 143023. X and Y belts for the D1000 are 143015, 143016 and 143017.
Motor belt or timing belt?
If the motor turns and nothing else does, or you hear slipping right at the motor, suspect the motor belt. If the Z axis moves but one side ends up higher than the other, suspect the timing belt that keeps the Z drive in step. When both belts are the same age, many owners replace them together.
Installation tips
Power the printer off and unplug it. Support the bed or gantry before you take load off the Z drive so nothing can drop. Loosen the motor mount to release tension, swap the belt, then re-tension and turn the drive by hand. Home the printer, run bed leveling and print a test part to confirm layer height.
