CreatBotD1000 Y-Axis Closed Loop BeltGenuine CreatBot Replacement Part
Y-axis closed loop (endless) timing belt for the CreatBot D1000

The CreatBot D1000 Y-axis closed loop belt (part 143017) is the OEM continuous belt used in the Y-axis drive of the CreatBot D1000. Unlike an open belt with clamped ends, a closed loop belt is a single endless loop. Belts of this kind are usually used to carry drive between pulleys, for example from a motor to a shaft. Because it sits in the drive train, any slip or wear here affects the whole Y axis. Full specifications →

Signs the closed loop belt needs replacing
Y-axis layer shifts that return even after the main Y-axis belt has been checked.
A chirping, ticking or grinding noise from the Y drive.
Cracks on the back of the loop, frayed edges or worn teeth.
The loop has stretched and the tensioner or motor mount has no adjustment left.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The D1000 also uses an X-axis belt (143015), a Y-axis belt (143016), a Z-axis motor belt (143018) and a Z-axis timing belt (143019). The D1000 HS has its own Y-axis closed loop belt, part 143022.
Why a closed loop belt is different to replace
An endless belt cannot be threaded through and clamped like an open belt. It has to be slipped over its pulleys, which usually means loosening the motor mount or tensioner to create slack, and sometimes removing a pulley or guard. Allow more time than for an X or Y belt, and take photos as you go.
Installation tips
Power off and unplug the printer. Note the motor or tensioner position before you loosen it so you can return close to the original tension. Fit the new loop over both pulleys with the teeth fully engaged, re-tension, and turn the drive by hand to check it runs smoothly with no rubbing. Home the printer and run a test print with long Y moves.
