Layer shifts in X, especially on long, fast moves across the plate.
Large parts measure out of size in X, with the error growing over longer distances.
Ringing or wavy surfaces after direction changes.
Frayed edges, cracks along the back, or worn and rounded teeth.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The D1000 uses a full set of belts, each with its own part number: Y-axis belt (143016), Y-axis closed loop belt (143017), Z-axis motor belt (143018) and Z-axis timing belt (143019). The D1000 HS is a different machine and uses X-axis belt 143020.
Belt care on a large format printer
Long belts need even tension along their full length. After fitting, move the carriage slowly from one end of the X axis to the other and watch that the belt tracks centered on both pulleys. Recheck tension after the first few long prints, because a new belt settles in, and keep the belt clear of filament strings and dust.
Installation tips
Power the printer off and unplug it. Photograph the belt path, the tensioner and how each end is clamped at the carriage. Fit the new belt along the same route with the teeth seated in the pulley, set the tension, and run the axis by hand before homing. A large calibration part is the best check of X accuracy on a D1000.
