D1000 HS Y Drive (Y-Axis Stepper Driver)
The CreatBot D1000 HS Y drive (part 115004) is the OEM stepper motor driver for the Y axis of the CreatBot D1000 HS 3D printer. The driver sits between the main control board and the Y motor: the board says how far and which way to move, and the driver delivers the current that makes the motor do it. What a failing Y drive looks like
Layers shift front to back partway through a print.
The Y axis loses position, crashes into an end stop or will not home.
The Y motor hums or vibrates without moving smoothly.
Faults move with the driver: the Y motor runs fine from another known good channel.
Rule these out first
Many Y axis problems are mechanical. Check belt tension, pulley set screws, rails or rods for debris, and the motor cable and connector. If the mechanics are sound and the fault follows the driver, the Y drive is the likely cause. Rev1 support can help you work through it.
Compatible CreatBot 3D printer
The other D1000 HS axis drivers are X (115003), Z (115005) and E (115006). The D1000 Pro HS uses its own Y-axis driver, part 115020.
Installation tips
Power down and unplug the printer. Mark or photograph the orientation of the old driver, remove it and fit the new one in exactly the same position. Reconnect the Y motor cable, home all axes and run a test print that uses the full depth of the bed.
