PTC chamber heater for the CreatBot D1000
The CreatBot D1000 heating PTC (part 173012) is the PTC heater that warms the enclosed build chamber of the CreatBot D1000. Large parts in ABS, ASA, nylon and PC shrink as they cool. In a cold chamber the top layers cool far faster than the base, and on a part the size the D1000 can print that difference becomes warped corners, split layers and parts that pull off the bed. Signs the chamber heater needs replacing
The chamber warms slowly, unevenly, or not at all with chamber heating enabled.
Warping and layer splitting appear on materials and settings that used to print well.
The printer reports a heater fault, the heater fan runs but blows cool air, or you notice a burnt smell.

About PTC heaters
A PTC (positive temperature coefficient) element increases its resistance as it heats, so it draws less power as it warms up. That self-regulating behavior makes PTC heaters a common choice for warming enclosed spaces.
Installation tips
Turn the D1000 off, unplug it and let the chamber and heaters cool. Photograph the heater wiring and connectors before removal, fit the new heaters in the same positions, and make sure the leads are secured away from moving axes and hot surfaces. Run chamber heating once and confirm the chamber warms before you start a long print.
