Filament chamber heater for the CreatBot D1000
The CreatBot D1000 filament chamber heater (part 182018) is the OEM heater for the enclosed filament chamber on the CreatBot D1000. Its job is to keep the spools warm and dry while the printer runs. Many engineering filaments, including nylon, PC and PVA support, pull moisture from the air. Wet filament prints badly: it pops and hisses at the nozzle, strings, bubbles on the surface and produces weaker layer bonds. The filament chamber stays cold or will not reach its set temperature.

This is not the build chamber heater. The D1000 build chamber heater is part 182012. The D1000 HS uses its own filament chamber heater, part 182019.
Installation tips
Remove the spools, then switch off and unplug the printer and let the filament chamber cool. Photograph the heater wiring and connector positions before you disconnect anything. Fit the new heater in the same position, route the leads away from the spool path, and confirm all connections are secure. Power up, let the filament chamber heat with the door shut, and check it holds its set point before reloading filament.
