Which size is right for the job
0.4 mm is the general purpose size and a sensible default. 0.2 and 0.3 mm give finer detail, sharper text and thinner walls, with longer print times. 0.5 and 0.6 mm print faster and lay down wider, stronger lines. 0.8 and 1.0 mm suit big parts on large format machines such as the D1000 or D1200 Ultra, where speed matters more than fine surface detail. Update the nozzle diameter in your slicer profile after every change.
For carbon fiber or glass fiber filled filaments, use a CreatBot hardened steel nozzle instead (parts 101001 to 101006). Abrasive fillers wear a brass bore quickly.
Installation tips
Heat the hotend to printing temperature before removing the old nozzle, and hold the heating block steady with a wrench while you turn. Thread the new nozzle in and tighten it gently while hot, then re-check your Z offset and run a first layer test. A worn nozzle often shows up as stringing, under-extrusion or a tip that is no longer round.

Which nozzle size do I need?
Start with 0.4 mm for general printing. Go smaller for detail, or larger for speed and big parts.
Can I print carbon fiber filament with a brass nozzle?
It is not recommended. Use a hardened steel nozzle (parts 101001 to 101006) for abrasive materials.
