The CreatBot BLTouch (part 108001) is the auto bed leveling sensor used on the CreatBot D600 Pro, F430, F1000 and PEEK-300. A BLTouch is a touch probe: a small pin drops down, taps the bed at a series of points, and retracts. The printer uses those readings to measure the bed and compensate for small differences in height, so the first layer goes down evenly across the plate. Why a touch probe
Because the BLTouch physically touches the bed, it works the same way on glass, PEI, BuildTak style and carbon fiber surfaces. It does not depend on the bed being metal, which suits printers that run several different build surfaces. A healthy probe with a correctly set Z offset is what lets the printer lay a consistent first layer without manual adjustment before every job.
Installation tips
Power the printer off and unplug it. Photograph the sensor mounting and the cable route and connector before removing the old probe. Mount the new BLTouch in the same position and orientation, reconnect it, and route the cable away from moving parts and the hotend. After installation, set the Z offset, run the automatic leveling routine and print a first layer test. If anything behaves unexpectedly, contact Rev1 support.
