Signs the transformer may need replacing
The circuits it feeds have no power while the rest of the printer runs normally.
Loud buzzing or humming that is new, or a burning smell from the power section.
A breaker or fuse that trips as soon as that circuit switches on.
Visible damage, scorching or melted insulation on the windings or leads.

Fit differs by wattage: the 600W transformer is for the PEEK-250 and the 1000W transformer is for the PEEK-300.
Which wattage is right for you
Choose by printer model, not by preference. The PEEK-250 is built around the 600W unit and the PEEK-300 around the 1000W unit. Do not substitute one for the other: the power rating is matched to each machine's electrical design, and the wrong transformer can overload or underpower the circuits it feeds. If you are unsure which printer model you have, the model is shown on the printer's rating label.
Installation tips
This part connects to mains power. Disconnect the printer from the wall and wait before you open the power compartment. Photograph every terminal and lead, transfer the connections one at a time, and secure the transformer firmly in its mount. If you are not comfortable working on mains wiring, have a qualified technician or Rev1 do the replacement.
