The A1 levels the bed automatically, runs a flow-rate calibration for the loaded filament, and measures and cancels its own vibration — the three things that decide whether a print succeeds — without a single manual adjustment.
On a typical open-frame printer, a good print starts with a chore: tram the bed, set the Z offset, tune the e-steps, fight ringing. The A1 does all of it for you. A sensor in the toolhead maps the bed and sets nozzle height for a clean first layer; a dynamic flow-calibration pass dials extrusion to the exact filament so walls aren’t over- or under-fed; and accelerometers measure the machine’s own resonance so input shaping can cancel the vibration that causes ghosting at speed. Does the A1 really set itself up?
Yes. The A1 automatically levels the bed, calibrates flow rate for the loaded filament, and measures and compensates for its own vibration — the steps that cause most print failures — with no manual leveling or Z-offset fiddling.
