ABS-GF prints much like ABS — it rewards a stable, draft-free environment. An enclosure, a hot bed, and minimal part cooling keep corners down and layers bonded. The one hard requirement: the glass fiber is abrasive, so run a hardened-steel nozzle.
Run hot for strong layer adhesion — and use a 0.4 mm+ hardened-steel nozzle, since glass fiber wears brass fast.
A hot bed plus glue or an adhesive sheet prevents the corners from lifting.

Do I need a hardened nozzle and an enclosure to print ABS-GF?
A hardened-steel nozzle is required — the glass fiber is abrasive and quickly wears brass. An enclosure is still recommended: glass fiber reduces warping versus plain ABS, but a warm, draft-free chamber and a 90–110 °C heated bed give the cleanest, crack-free results.
ABS-GF vs plain ABS vs ABS-CF — which should I use?
Choose ABS-GF when you need more stiffness and dimensional stability than plain ABS but don’t want to pay for carbon fiber. Plain ABS is cheaper and easier (brass nozzle) for general functional parts; ABS-CF is stiffer still but costs more. All three share ABS-level heat resistance.

Is ABS-GF safe to print indoors?
ABS-GF gives off a styrene odor while printing, so use it in a ventilated space or with an enclosure and filtration. Many users vent the enclosure outdoors or run a carbon/HEPA filter.
Can I smooth ABS-GF to a glossy finish?
Not really — the glass fiber limits acetone vapor smoothing, and parts keep a matte, technical surface. Sand and prime for a finished look. If a glossy acetone-smoothed finish is the goal, use plain ABS instead.
How heat-resistant is ABS-GF?
