Can the Omni replace a CMM?
For most first-article and in-process checks, yes — its onboard PTB-certified inspection reports GD&T in minutes at 0.02 mm. For sub-micron bore work you keep the CMM; the Omni clears the backlog in front of it.
What is the FreeProbe for?
The FreeProbe 2 / 2 Pro is a ruby-tip contact probe that pairs with the tracked FreeScan systems, so you can touch-measure points a scanner can’t reach and report a contact tolerance alongside full-field scan data.
