HeyGears Reflex 2 & Reflex 2 Pro — Resin 3D Printers
The Reflex 2 is HeyGears’ newest desktop MSLA platform — production-line optics and motion control in a machine that fits on a bench. A 10.7″ 6K Amber Screen Pro, an OptiZone mini-LED light engine calibrated across 86,000+ zones for ≥94% uniformity, 40 µm native pixels and a C5-grade ±2 µm Z-axis hold accuracy run after run for genuinely repeatable, end-use parts. The Reflex 2 Pro steps up the light engine (1,032 OptiZone lenses) and a taller 350 mm build with a closed-loop FOC Z-axis and standard scraper-assisted resin heating. This page compares the two.

Choosing a HeyGears reflex 2 machine
The decisions that actually matter for this class of machine — size them to your parts, not to a spec sheet.
Build height
Both share a 230 × 144 mm footprint. The Reflex 2 builds to 230 mm tall; the Reflex 2 Pro extends to 350 mm for taller parts and bigger batches.
Light engine
The Reflex 2 uses a 161-OptiZone mini-LED engine; the Pro scales to 1,032 OptiZone lenses with a 480,000-microlens array — both masked across 86,020 zones for ≥94% light uniformity, which is what holds accuracy edge-to-edge.
Z-axis & heating
Both run a C5-grade ±2 µm Z-axis; the Pro adds FOC closed-loop control (80 kg load) and standard scraper-assisted resin heating to ±1 °C for stable exposure on long prints.
Accuracy
Both deliver 40 µm pixels, ±20 µm dimensional accuracy and ≤0.05 mm XY print accuracy, with floating-platform auto-leveling and residue detection built in.

Frequently asked questions
Reflex 2 or Reflex 2 Pro — which should I buy?
Both share a 10.7″ Amber Screen and a 230 × 144 mm footprint. Choose the Reflex 2 ($1,799) for most work; step up to the Reflex 2 Pro ($2,999) if you need the taller 350 mm build, the higher-end 1,032-lens OptiZone engine, closed-loop Z control and standard scraper-assisted resin heating.
What makes the Reflex 2 good for end-use parts?
An OptiZone mini-LED light engine masked across 86,020 zones for ≥94% uniformity, 40 µm pixels, ±20 µm accuracy and a C5-grade ±2 µm Z-axis — so parts come out dimensionally repeatable run after run, not just detailed.
Are the Reflex 2 printers open-material?
Yes — they run 385+ nm resins, including HeyGears’ UltraPrint range and other 385/405 nm resins. We help confirm the right resin set and exposure for your application.
