EinScan 3D Scanners — Rigil, Libre & SP V2
The current EinScan scanner line — two wireless handhelds and a desktop. The Rigil is the tri-mode flagship: 25+25 crossed laser lines plus parallel-line and infrared modes, on-board 8-core computing and a 2K AMOLED screen for true standalone, laptop-free scanning. The Libre is a wireless standalone laser + infrared scanner tuned for large-area work. The SP V2 is the white-LED desktop scanner — a turntable and tripod for hands-free, full-color capture of small to medium objects. This page compares the three so you can match the engine, portability and workflow to your parts. (The older Pro, SE, H2 and HX2 models are retired; ask us about trade-in.)

Choosing a EinScan handheld & portable machine
The decisions that actually matter for this class of machine — size them to your parts, not to a spec sheet.
Handheld vs desktop
The Rigil and Libre are portable, wireless handhelds you carry to the part — ideal for large, fixed or on-site objects. The SP V2 is a benchtop desktop scanner with a turntable, best for small to medium objects you bring to it.
Standalone or tethered
The Rigil scans fully standalone — an 8-core CPU, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and a 2K AMOLED screen built in, with swappable batteries and Wi-Fi 6. The Libre adds a wireless standalone mode alongside PC-connected use. The SP V2 runs tethered to a PC.
Accuracy & speed
The Rigil and Libre resolve to a 0.05 mm point distance with laser HD; the Rigil reaches up to 16,000,000 pts/s in IR Rapid and the Libre up to 4,500,000 pts/s. The SP V2 captures to up to 0.05 mm accuracy with white-LED structured light.
Color & detail
All three capture full color. The Rigil and Libre cover large areas marker-free with laser + infrared; the SP V2 gives you repeatable, high-detail full-color meshes of smaller objects on a turntable.

Frequently asked questions
Which current EinScan scanner is right for me?
For a portable, laptop-free flagship handheld, the Rigil; for wireless large-area scanning, the Libre; for small to medium objects on a benchtop with full-color texture, the desktop SP V2. Tell us your parts and accuracy target and we will recommend the right one.
What happened to the EinScan Pro, SE, H2 and HX2?
Those are previous-generation models that have been retired. The Rigil is the current handheld successor and the Medixa the current scanner for body and orthotic work. We can advise on trade-in and the right current model for your application.
Can the Rigil scan without a laptop?
Yes — the Rigil has an 8-core CPU, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and a 2K AMOLED screen built in, with swappable batteries and Wi-Fi 6, so it scans fully standalone. The Libre also offers a wireless standalone mode; the SP V2 runs tethered to a PC.
Do these capture color?
Yes — all three capture full-color texture. The Rigil and Libre cover large areas marker-free with laser and infrared; the SP V2 produces repeatable, high-detail full-color meshes of smaller objects on a turntable.
