SP V2 Highlights

Professional Desktop Scanning, Made Genuinely One-Click.

Operator scanning a small figurine on the EinScan SP V2 Auto-Scan turntable beside a laptop running EXScan S

Put an Object Down. Press Scan. Get a Model.

The SP V2 is built for one-click scanning with no rigid workflow to memorize: place a small or medium object on the Auto-Scan turntable, start the scan, and EXScan S walks you through the rest. Automatic calibration removes the tedious setup that slows entry scanners, and the structured-light engine delivers high-definition detail with stable, repeatable results — the kind of dependability that makes it a fixture in design studios, classrooms, and maker labs.

The Turntable Does the Indexing for You

In Auto-Scan mode, the motorized turntable rotates the object through a full 360° while the scanner captures and auto-aligns each angle — ideal for small-to-medium parts you can set on the platter. Switch to Fixed-Scan and the scan head mounts on the included tripod so you can walk around larger or fixed objects, capturing each view manually. One scanner covers both the bench and the floor.

Detail You Can Take Straight Into CAD

The white-LED structured-light engine resolves fine relief and surface detail at up to 0.05 mm accuracy with 0.17–0.2 mm point distance — crisp enough for reverse engineering, dimensional reference, and faithful art reproduction. Stable, reliable scanning means the same object scanned twice gives you the same model, so downstream work starts from data you can trust.

Field-Stable Accuracy

Automatic calibration and a fixed optical geometry keep the SP V2 holding its published 0.05 mm accuracy scan after scan — consistent across operators and sessions, not just a one-time bench reading.

Repeatable
Operator-Independent

The guided one-click workflow means a student or first-day operator gets the same dependable mesh a seasoned user does — ideal for classrooms and shared design labs.

Realistic 3D Models, Color and All

With color texture mapping enabled, the SP V2 records true surface color alongside geometry — producing lifelike 3D models for art customization, cultural-heritage reproduction, e-commerce content, and AR/VR assets. Painted figures, multi-color prints, and decorated artifacts come off the turntable looking like the object in front of you, not a grey shell.

EXScan S Software

Guided Capture, Rich Mesh Editing, Open Exports.

EXScan S guides scanning step by step, then cleans and finishes the mesh in the same app — export STL, OBJ, PLY, or ASC straight into EXModel, Geomagic Design X, or PolyWorks Inspector. It is a free download with continuous updates, eight-language support, and now runs on macOS as well as Windows.

Clean and Finish Without Leaving the App

Rich mesh-editing tools — auto hole filling, smoothing, sharpening, simplification, and coordinate adjustment — turn raw scans into watertight, print-ready or CAD-ready models. Adjustable resolution (Low / Medium / High) lets you trade file size against detail for the job in front of you, and a guided step-by-step flow keeps new operators productive.

From Mesh to the Tool You Already Use

Open exports mean no proprietary lock-in: STL, OBJ, PLY, and ASC flow into the broader CAD and reverse-engineering ecosystem, and BlueStar Mapping adds advanced texture-mapping for color-critical work. Whether the next seat is SolidWorks, Fusion 360, EXModel, or Geomagic, the SP V2’s output lands cleanly.

Buyer FAQ

EinScan SP V2 — questions buyers ask before ordering.

What accuracy can the EinScan SP V2 hold?
The SP V2 publishes up to 0.05 mm accuracy with a 0.17–0.2 mm point distance using its white-LED structured-light engine. That is genuine professional-desktop accuracy — well suited to product design, reverse engineering, dimensional reference, education, and full-color art reproduction. It is not a third-party-certified metrology scanner; for VDI/VDE-grade lab certification, Rev1 maps you to the FreeScan metrology line.
What is the difference between Auto-Scan and Fixed-Scan?
Auto-Scan uses the included motorized turntable: you set a small-to-medium object on the platter and the scanner captures and auto-aligns each angle through a full 360° rotation in about 45 seconds. Fixed-Scan mounts the scan head on the included tripod so you can capture larger or fixed objects from multiple manual positions. Most users start on the turntable and switch to the tripod only for bigger pieces.
How large — and how small — can objects be?
The SP V2 is optimized for small-to-medium objects, with a maximum field of view of 700 × 700 × 700 mm. Small parts scan beautifully on the turntable; larger pieces use Fixed-Scan with the tripod. Very small, very thin, or very large industrial parts may be better served by a different scanner — Rev1 confirms fit during application review.
Does it capture color, and how good is the texture?
Yes — with color texture mapping enabled, the SP V2 records true surface color alongside geometry in the same pass, producing realistic full-color 3D models. That makes it a strong choice for art customization, cultural-heritage reproduction, e-commerce content, and AR/VR assets. BlueStar Mapping adds advanced texture-mapping for color-critical work.
What software ships with the SP V2, and does it run on Mac?
EXScan S is the SP V2’s native software — a free download with continuous updates. It guides scanning step by step and includes rich mesh editing (hole filling, smoothing, sharpening, simplification, coordinate adjustment) with adjustable resolution and eight-language support. It now runs on both Windows and macOS, and exports STL, OBJ, PLY, and ASC into the wider CAD ecosystem.
Do I need markers or scanning spray?
For most turntable scans, no — turntable and feature alignment handle registration automatically, and the SP V2 supports five alignment modes including markers and turntable coded targets for trickier geometry. Very dark, glossy, or transparent surfaces still benefit from a light coat of scanning spray for clean data; Rev1 stocks AESUB spray and reference targets for the workflows that need them.
What comes in the box?
The scan head and S-arm, the motorized Auto-Scan turntable, a photo tripod for Fixed-Scan, the calibration board and marker plate, the power adapter and cabling, and a USB connection — everything needed to scan in both modes on day one. EXScan S is a free download. Rev1 confirms the exact regional kit contents at quote.
What are the most common uses for the SP V2?
Research and education, product design, art and cultural creation, small automotive accessories and reverse engineering, and medical or basic-research models — anywhere a department needs to turn a physical small-to-medium object into an accurate, editable, full-color 3D model affordably.
Is Rev1 an authorized EinScan dealer, and what support is included?
Yes — Rev1 Technologies is an Authorized EinScan Reseller and factory-trained support partner based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Purchases include application review, EXScan S setup, calibration verification, operator orientation, and US-based phone and video support with authorized service routing — warranty service never routes through grey-market channels.
