Three Signs Your LCD Has Reached End-of-Life
The same blemish, gap, or rough patch on every part — in the same XY position regardless of geometry — means the LCD has burnt or dim pixels in that area. The light engine can’t cure resin where the panel won’t modulate light. Replacement is the only fix.
Resin leaking past the anti-scratch film and onto the LCD surface causes irreversible damage — UV-cured residue welds to the panel and resists every solvent. Past a certain point, the panel needs swapping. The new set ships with fresh anti-scratch film already applied.

LCD Swap Is a Service-Level Procedure
The set ships with the LCD panel and a fresh sheet of anti-scratch film. The film mounts to the frame above the LCD — if resin gets past it during a future tank failure, the film takes the hit instead of the panel. Apply the film clean and bubble-free; lay the panel into its mount and seat the connectors per the HeyGears service guide.

Is the anti-scratch film already on the LCD?
The kit includes both the LCD panel and the anti-scratch film. Some shipments arrive with the film pre-applied to the panel; others ship with the film as a separate sheet for installer-applied mounting. Either way, both pieces are in the box and the order quantity is one of each.
Does it fit the original Reflex or Reflex RS?
No. The 10.7-inch panel is dimensioned for the Reflex 2 generation chamber. Original Reflex uses a different-size LCD — LCD Screen ($227). Reflex RS / RS Turbo use a different LCD as well — RS LCD Screen ($227), or the RS Turbo Amber Screen ($239) for Turbo models.
What are the most common signs my LCD needs replacement?
Repeating dim, blurred, or missing-cure spots in the same XY position on every part — classic burnt-pixel pattern. Visible discoloration when the printer is idle (with the panel lit). Surface damage from a resin spill that bypassed the anti-scratch film. Any of these = end-of-life for the panel.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, if you’re comfortable opening the printer, disconnecting ribbon cables, and following HeyGears’ service procedure. If you’d rather not, ship the printer to Rev1’s Auburn Hills lab and we’ll do the swap and recalibration in-house.
