Three Signals It’s Film-Swap Time
Cloudy patches or repeat marks at the same XY position across multiple parts almost always trace back to film fatigue. The film stops releasing cleanly in the worn area, and that texture transfers into the cured layer. New film resolves it within one print.
Held to light, a fatigued film shows haze, micro-pitting, or a faint shadow where high-frequency pulses have worked the surface hardest. If you can see the pattern, the film’s past its useful life — replace before the artifacts show on parts.
HeyGears rates pulsing-release film for tens of thousands of layers under normal conditions. Production shops running engineering resins (PAH270, PAU20) burn through film faster than shops running standard modeling resin. Stock 2–3 packs per active printer if you’re running production volumes.

in About 5 Minutes
Drain the resin out of the Pulsing Release Resin Tank back into its bottle (use the standard drain procedure from the printer’s touchscreen). Lift the worn film out of its mount — no tools, just hand pressure. Lay the new film into the mount, smooth out any wrinkles toward the edges, and re-seat the gas-line seal. Refill resin and resume printing — no firmware reset, no recalibration, no test print needed.
If the film mounting itself looks worn or warped (not just the film surface), the whole tank needs replacing — Reflex 2 Pulsing Release Resin Tank ($239).
Reflex 2 Series + PRM 2 Setup Only
This film is sized and tensioned for the Reflex 2 generation Pulsing Release Resin Tank. It will not fit the standard (non-pulsing) Reflex 2 Regular Resin Tank, and it will not fit the original Reflex or Reflex RS pulsing tanks — those use different film geometries.

How many films come per pack?
Two (2) pulsing-release-rated films per pack at $143 total. That’s the OEM SKU as HeyGears packages it — no single-film option exists.
How often will I need to replace?
Highly dependent on resin chemistry and print volume. Standard modeling resins (PAS10, PARP10) extend film life; engineering resins (PAH270, PAU20, PAC10) wear it faster. Production shops running daily typically replace every 3–6 months; hobby use is annual.
Can I use this with my regular (non-pulsing) tank?
No. The pulsing-release film is dimensioned and tensioned for the Pulsing Release Resin Tank. The standard Reflex 2 Regular Resin Tank ($119) uses a different film — Reflex 2 Release Film ($95 for 2-pack).
Will it fit my original Reflex or Reflex RS pulsing tank?
No. Each Reflex generation has its own pulsing-release film geometry. Original Reflex uses Pulsing Release Module Release Film ($119). Reflex RS / RS Turbo uses RS Pulsing Release Film ($119).
