Not sure where to start?

New to scanning, reverse-engineering, or inspecting parts?

Honest, model-by-model picks — bring us your part and we’ll scan it on the exact EinScan that fits how you work.

New to 3D scanning?
Our pick: EinScan SP V2

Start on a fixed desktop turntable that makes clean, repeatable scans easy to learn — no rig to build, no field setup. The SP V2 is the most approachable way into professional EinScan quality, and we’ll walk your team through the software so you’re productive from day one.

Reverse-engineering legacy parts?
Our pick: EinScan H2

When there are no drawings and the part won’t sit on a turntable, the handheld H2 comes to the part — capturing detailed geometry plus color and texture you can take straight into your CAD workflow. Bring us the part and we’ll scan it so you can see the mesh before you buy.

Scanning for inspection & QC?
Our pick: EinScan Libre

For dimensional inspection on larger assemblies or hard-to-reach features, the wireless all-in-one Libre lets you scan where the part lives — no tethered workstation to wheel around the floor. We’ll demo it on your inspection use case and recommend straight.

Prove it first

Send us a part — we scan it free.

A real scan of your own part, on the EinScan you’re considering — before you spend a dollar. Bring it in or book a live demo; you get to see the mesh, the color and texture capture, and a straight recommendation on which scanner fits — even if it’s “the desktop scanner is enough.”

Sample scans are per part, by appointment, so we can dedicate the right scanner and show off what it captures. One representative part per qualified business; larger inspection or production programs we scope case-by-case.

Why EinScan

A full range, color capture, and one software workflow

The EinScan line is defined by breadth — handheld, desktop, and wireless — plus color and texture capture and a single supported software workflow, then backed locally by Rev1.

Full range
Handheld, desktop & wireless

The EinScan line spans portable handhelds, fixed desktop turntables, and wireless all-in-one systems — so there’s a scanner sized to your parts, your space, and how you work.

Color
Color & texture capture

Across the range, EinScan scanners capture surface color and texture along with geometry — useful for design, heritage, healthcare, and any application where appearance matters, not just shape.

Workflow
Full EinScan software workflow

Every scanner runs the EinScan software workflow from capture to a clean, watertight mesh ready for CAD, inspection, or reverse engineering — one supported toolchain across the lineup.

Frequently asked questions

Which EinScan fits me?

Just getting into 3D scanning or working benchtop: the desktop EinScan SE V2 ($1,199) or SP V2 ($2,099) make repeatable capture easy to learn. Need to take the scanner to the part — reverse engineering or field work: the handheld H2 ($5,299), or the wireless all-in-one Libre for untethered scanning. Healthcare and prosthetics: the wireless Medixa ($5,599). Not sure? Bring us a part — we’ll scan it free and tell you which scanner to buy.

Handheld or desktop — what’s the difference?

A desktop scanner (SE V2, SP V2) uses a fixed turntable: you set an object on it and it spins for clean, repeatable scans of small-to-medium parts — great for benchtop reverse engineering and learning the workflow. A handheld scanner (H2, HX2, Pro 2X V2, Pro HD, Libre, Medixa) you move around the part by hand, so you can scan large, fixed, or hard-to-reach subjects the object can’t be brought to. Which is right depends on your parts and where you scan them — that’s exactly what a demo answers.

What does a free sample scan and demo include?

Bring us a representative part and we’ll scan it on the EinScan you’re considering — you get to see the mesh, the color/texture capture, and the finished result before you spend a dollar. We also run a live demo of the scanner and the software workflow so you can judge the fit for your work, and we give you a straight recommendation — even if it’s “the desktop scanner is enough.” Sample scans are per part, by appointment.

What software do EinScan scanners use?

EinScan scanners run the EinScan software workflow — from live capture through alignment to a clean, watertight mesh ready for CAD, dimensional inspection, or reverse engineering. It’s one supported toolchain across the lineup, so what you learn on a desktop scanner carries straight over to a handheld. We cover the workflow in training so your team is productive from day one.

What financing and US support come with it?

Business financing runs to 72 months on approved credit across the EinScan line. Rev1 Technologies is your authorized US dealer and support: phone and video support, application help, training, and same-day quotes, all from Auburn Hills, Michigan — not an overseas ticket queue. SHINING 3D builds EinScan; Rev1 is your US dealer and service partner.
