SHINING 3D EinScan Pro HD Multifunctional Handheld · HD Prime Markerless · White-Light
The EinScan Pro HD is a previous-generation multifunctional handheld white-light 3D scanner — its HD Prime mode captures fine detail without markers across Handheld HD, Handheld Rapid, and Fixed scanning. It has been succeeded by the EinScan Rigil, the current standalone handheld Rev1 ships and supports.
Built around HD Prime markerless capture, the Pro HD pairs handheld mobility with a Fixed mode that mounts on a tripod over an automated turntable — plus an optional Color Pack for full-color texture and an Industrial Pack for marker and turntable workflows. It is no longer in current production; for new standalone handheld capability, the EinScan Rigil → is the model Rev1 recommends today.

A Multifunctional Handheld That Defined Markerless HD Capture.
One Handheld, Three Ways to Scan
The Pro HD earned its reputation as a true multifunctional handheld: HD Prime mode for fine, markerless detail; Handheld Rapid mode for fast coverage of larger surfaces; and a Fixed mode that turns the scan head into a desktop scanner over an automated turntable. With up to 0.04 mm accuracy and EXScan Pro software, it served reverse engineering, product design, education, and heritage work in a single device — the prosumer workhorse that the EinScan Rigil now succeeds.
High-Definition Detail — Without Sticking Markers on the Part.
Markerless Where It Matters, Markered When You Want It
HD Prime was the Pro HD’s headline capability: capture fine, high-definition geometry handheld without first covering the workpiece in reference dots — faster setup and cleaner surfaces on detailed parts. When a job calls for the certainty of markers or large-area tracking, Handheld Rapid mode and the Industrial Pack’s marker workflow are still there. One scanner, both philosophies.
Up to 0.04 mm. Geometry You Can Take Into CAD.
High-Definition Meshes, Ready for Downstream Work
In HD Prime mode the Pro HD resolves crisp relief and surface detail at up to 0.04 mm accuracy — tread patterns, stitching, sharp edges, and small features come through cleanly. Open exports (STL, OBJ, PLY, ASC) flow into reverse-engineering and inspection software, so scan data lands where the rest of your pipeline already lives.
HD Prime captures small features and tight detail handheld — the kind of geometry design and reverse-engineering work depends on.
STL, OBJ, PLY, and ASC exports drop into SolidWorks, Geomagic Design X, EXModel, and PolyWorks — no proprietary wall.
The EinScan Rigil carries this detail-first philosophy forward with laser-grade accuracy and onboard computing.
Handheld HD. Handheld Rapid. Fixed on a Turntable.
From In-Hand to On-the-Bench in Minutes
Lift the Pro HD off the tripod and it is a mobile handheld for HD Prime and Rapid scanning; mount it back on the tripod over the automated turntable and it becomes a desktop scanner for repeatable, indexed 360° capture of small-to-medium parts. The same scan head, two working postures — the flexibility that made the Pro HD a fixture in mixed-workload shops.
EXScan Pro Ties the Modes Together
EXScan Pro drives all three modes — guiding capture, aligning data, and cleaning the mesh in one place. Multi-mode projects merge into a single model, and the software exports straight into the CAD and inspection tools your team already runs. Heritage panels, machined parts, and product prototypes all finish in the same workflow.
Add Color Texture. Add Marker & Turntable Automation.
Two Packs That Reshaped the Pro HD’s Job
The optional Color Pack adds full-color texture capture for art, heritage, and presentation-grade models. The optional Industrial Pack brings the automated turntable and marker workflow for repeatable Fixed-mode capture and large-area tracking. Together they let one Pro HD cover markerless detail, color, and automated indexing — the modular approach the EinScan Rigil now integrates into a single tri-mode design.
Reverse Engineering. Automotive. Heritage. Research & Education.
Across its life the Pro HD covered scan-to-CAD with reverse-engineering software, automotive fitment, art and heritage digitization, and classroom research. Owners running a Pro HD today can keep these workflows alive with Rev1’s support — and map a clean path to the EinScan Rigil when it is time to upgrade.
Detail Capture Where the Object Lives
Markerless HD Prime made the Pro HD a genuine field instrument for heritage work — carved woodwork, stone relief, and artifacts digitized in place, without laying a single marker on irreplaceable surfaces. Handheld mobility put the scanner wherever the subject was, from a temple ceiling to a museum bench.
Automotive Aftermarket & Reverse Engineering
Seats, brackets, interiors, and trim digitized handheld for fitment, custom fabrication, and scan-to-CAD. The Pro HD’s mode flexibility let a shop capture a large panel in Rapid mode and a fine detail in HD Prime without switching tools — then export straight into the CAD pipeline.
Research, Education & Digital Archives
Universities, museums, and research labs used the Pro HD to turn specimens, fossils, and study models into accurate digital archives — a guided, accessible workflow that first-time operators could run. Its affordable, multifunctional design made it a staple of teaching labs and research programs.
Approachable Enough for a Teaching Lab
Fixed mode over the turntable made the Pro HD easy to demonstrate and learn on: set an object on the platter, run a guided capture, and review the mesh together. For programs standardizing on EinScan today, Rev1 maps the equivalent current kit around the EinScan Rigil.
EinScan Pro HD vs. the EinScan Rigil (Current Model)
The honest comparison most Pro HD shoppers actually need: the previous-generation Pro HD versus the scanner that replaced it. For any new purchase in this class, the EinScan Rigil is the current model Rev1 recommends and supports.
