Geomagic Design X goes further: it segments the scan, extracts the underlying design intent, and rebuilds the part as a native, history-based solid with sketches and features you can dimension and change. Clean the data in Wrap, model in Design X, verify in Control X against the original scan.

It converts 3D scan data into an editable, history-based parametric CAD model — not a frozen mesh. It recognizes features and design intent so the result is a real solid you can dimension, change, and export to STEP, IGES, or native CAD.
Geomagic works on scan data from most structured-light and laser scanners. If you don’t have capture hardware, Rev1 also supplies metrology scanners and can scan parts for you as a service.
