The CreatBot D1000 HS PEI film (part 107003) is the OEM PEI print surface for the build plate of the CreatBot D1000 HS and D1000 large format 3D printers. PEI (polyetherimide) is one of the most widely used print surfaces because it grips the first layer well while the bed is hot, then lets parts release as it cools. Getting the most from PEI
Keep the surface clean and free of skin oils by wiping it with isopropyl alcohol between prints. Let the bed cool before removing parts so they release on their own, and use a plastic scraper rather than a metal blade when you do need help. Rotating where you place parts on the plate spreads the wear and extends the life of the film. The D1000 HS also has a removable magnetic sheet, part 107004, if you need to replace that sheet.
Installation tips
Let the bed cool, then peel the old film off slowly and remove any adhesive left behind. Clean the plate thoroughly and make sure it is completely dry. Align one edge of the new film, then lay it down gradually while pressing outward from the center with a squeegee or card to push out air bubbles. Re-level the bed and adjust the Z offset before the first print.
