EinScan Trak in Tracking Mode capturing a classic car body while the operator moves freely — marker-free wireless 3D scanning

One System, Two Work Modes

The EinScan Trak is really two scanners in one kit. In Tracking Mode, an external tracker follows the scanner in real time — move freely around medium-to-large objects for fast, expansive coverage with no markers on the part and no rig to reposition. When a job needs to reach into a tight space or capture a small component, detach the handheld scanner and switch to a lighter, more flexible workflow. One purchase covers the full size range, from a car body to a bracket.

Three Laser Modes for Every Geometry

Match the light source to the part instead of forcing one beam pattern to do everything. The EinScan Trak carries three distinct laser modes and switches between them as the geometry changes across a single scan.

19+19Crossed Lines — high-efficiency capture on large objects
7Parallel Lines — fine details & sharp edges
1Single Line — deep holes at up to 1:4 diameter-to-depth

Marker-Free Tracking — Even on Low-Feature Surfaces

The retroreflective markers live on the scanner module itself, not on your part. A spherical array of built-in markers lets the external tracker follow the scanner's position in real time, so you get stable laser scanning across large, smooth, low-feature surfaces without dotting them with stickers first. Leapfrog scanning is supported, so coverage extends as you move the tracker — ideal for vehicles, panels, and large tooling where placing and cleaning up markers used to eat the schedule.

The Complete System

A Complete Wireless Tracking Kit

Tracker, spherical marker-scanner module, and a detachable handheld unit — one wireless system that moves from tracking large assets to handheld capture of the details, with no cables tethering you to a cart.

EinScan Trak detached handheld scanner capturing a feature-rich engine assembly marker-free

Marker-Free Handheld Scanner Mode

Detach the scanner and, on feature-rich surfaces, the EinScan Trak delivers a smooth, marker-free laser 3D scanning experience — no preparation stickers, no cleanup. That saves real time and cost on parts with plenty of geometry to track against, like castings, engines, and machined assemblies. For the highest-accuracy inspection work, global markers are still recommended; the Trak lets you choose the right approach per job instead of forcing one workflow.

Flexible Scan, Smart Merge

Adjust in real time as you scan. With up to 4 meters of scanning distance and 0.05 mm resolution, the EinScan Trak supports ultra-fine capture and lets you switch between resolutions within a single scan — use the Local Resolution function to add detail exactly where a part needs it, without oversampling everything. Data from Tracking Mode and Handheld Mode aligns together, across multiple point distances and laser-line modes, so you capture less redundant data and finish more efficiently.

EinScan Trak scanning a large boat hull outdoors — reliable capture on large assets in bright ambient light

Highly Adaptable, Flexible Wireless Workflow

The EinScan Trak is built to handle the materials and conditions that stop other scanners. Capture black and reflective surfaces effortlessly, with no data loss, so dark plastics, glossy paint, and machined metal come through clean. And because it's engineered for both indoor and outdoor use — reliable even under strong outdoor light up to 110,000 lux — you can take it out to the boat yard, the aircraft, or the job site instead of bringing the asset to a lab.

EinScan Trak scanning a large statue on location — long hot-swappable battery life for uninterrupted field work

Long Battery Life, Built to Travel

No battery anxiety in the field. Tracker mode runs up to 5.5 hours and scanner mode up to 3.5 hours, with hot-swappable batteries so a fresh cell keeps you scanning without shutting down. The full system calibrates in 5–10 minutes and holds reliable performance from -10°C to 40°C, so it adapts to changing environments with fewer recalibrations. A high-strength CFFIM carbon-fiber body is built for shock resistance and worry-free transport — it travels in a case, not a crate.

5 MP HD Texture Scanning

When color matters, the EinScan Trak's 5 MP HD texture camera accurately captures object colors and material detail alongside the geometry — essential for heritage and art digitization, product design, and any deliverable where the model needs to look like the real thing, not just measure like it. Texture also helps alignment on surfaces where geometry alone is ambiguous.

Buyer FAQ

EinScan Trak — questions buyers ask before reserving.

What is the EinScan Trak?
It’s a wireless, marker-free 3D tracking system from EinScan (SHINING 3D). One kit pairs an external optical tracker with a detachable handheld laser scanner, so you can scan medium-to-large objects in Tracking Mode and then detach the scanner for confined spaces and small parts — without placing markers on the object.
When is it available, and how do I reserve one?
The EinScan Trak is coming soon. Rev1 is an authorized EinScan reseller in the USA — contact us to reserve a unit, request early pricing, and get launch-day priority plus US-based onboarding. Use any “Inquire Now” button on this page.
How is it “marker-free”?
The retroreflective markers are built into the spherical scanner module itself, not applied to your part. The external tracker follows the scanner’s position in real time, so you get stable laser scanning across large, smooth, low-feature surfaces without dotting them with stickers — and leapfrog scanning extends coverage as you move the tracker.
When do I use Tracking Mode versus Handheld Mode?
Use Tracking Mode for fast, expansive capture of medium-to-large objects with up to 4 m of scanning distance. Detach to Handheld Mode to reach narrow spaces and scan small components with a lighter, more flexible workflow. Data from both modes aligns together into one model.
What resolution and accuracy does it deliver?
Resolution is up to 0.05 mm, with ultra-fine scanning and a Local Resolution function that adds detail exactly where a part needs it. Full accuracy figures are published at launch — contact Rev1 for the current specification. For the highest-accuracy inspection work, global markers are still recommended.
Can it scan large objects like vehicles and boats?
Yes. Tracking Mode is designed for medium-to-large objects, with up to 4 m scanning distance and leapfrog coverage — well suited to car bodies, boat hulls, and large tooling, indoors or outdoors.
Does it handle black, shiny, or outdoor scanning?
Yes. The Trak captures black and reflective surfaces without data loss, and it’s engineered for reliable indoor and outdoor scanning — including strong ambient light up to 110,000 lux.
How portable is it, and how long does the battery last?
It’s fully wireless with a shock-resistant CFFIM carbon-fiber body. Tracker mode runs up to 5.5 hours and scanner mode up to 3.5 hours, with hot-swappable batteries so you never have to stop mid-session. Full-system calibration takes 5–10 minutes.
Does it capture color, and what files does it output?
A 5 MP HD texture camera captures full color and material detail. Output uses standard mesh formats (OBJ, STL, PLY, ASC) that drop straight into reverse-engineering and inspection software — Rev1 helps you set up the pipeline.
What are the three laser modes for?
The EinScan Trak carries 19+19 crossed laser lines for high-efficiency capture on large objects, 7 parallel lines for fine details and sharp edges, and a single line for deep holes at up to a 1:4 diameter-to-depth ratio. You match the beam pattern to the geometry as you scan.
Do I need a high-end PC to run it?
The Trak runs a wireless workflow with SHINING 3D’s capture and processing software. Recommended PC requirements are confirmed at launch — Rev1 will help you spec a workstation that matches your object sizes and resolution before you buy.
Why buy from Rev1 Technologies?
Rev1 is an authorized EinScan reseller based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. You get US phone and video support, reverse-engineering workflow setup, operator training, and financing options — plus early pricing and priority when you reserve before launch.
